IBM Competition – My Idea for a Smarter Planet

Give students an opportunity to enter ideas as to how they feel technology can be used to make the world a smarter planet. The competition is hosted at

Smarter planet is split in to several categories so this makes an ideal classroom activity – where the class can be split into groups and each group research one of the smarter planet categories and come up with ideas.

If needed an IBM volunteer can visit the school to arrange the activity.

The ideas will be judged by a team of technologists in IBM and the winning entry will win a laptop for the student and a trip to IBM for their class. Announcement of winner is will be on 15th March 2010.
