Every Engineer should get involved in Engineers’ Week. The fun and excitement generated by activities promoting Engineering has to be experienced!

Engineers at South Dublin County Council had a great collaborative experience with our partners here from IIT Dublin to get the week up and running. Organising and hosting activities during Engineers Week was a fantastic experience for South Dublin County Council and we are really excited about getting involved in Engineers Week 2010!  More local authorities should take part!

My son and his 13 year old sister both attended the Science Magic Show at the Cork Opera House. They both enjoyed the show and reports from their friends were very positive. I have often spent a lot of money entertaining the kids with a lot less success than we experienced with Engineered. Engineers’ Week  provided a brilliant outlet for my science mad 10 year old who constantly bemoans the lack of science related activities in the primary school curriculum.

It was a great experience for both myself and my daughter.   The enthusiasm shown by the organisers was tremendous and I was in places in Dublin I haven’t been in years.  This was an enormous break for both of us and we were thrilled with the escapism and opportunity to get stuck into something wonderful.   It was really well organised and we are looking forward to next year.
